What does a proofreader do?
A proofreader evaluates your work for mechanical correctness, such as grammar, punctuation, spelling, repeated words, omitted words, spacing and format, and typographical errors.
What word processing program do you use?
Our preferred word processing program is Microsoft Word. However, please ask if you are using something other than Word for your document.
How will I know what changes you have made?
We use the Track Changes tool in Microsoft Word, which records all changes made to a document. You will have two documents, a Clean copy, and a Track Changes copy, where you can see all the edits. This will be explained in more detail at the appropriate time.
